Updated October 2026. Brand details and prices were checked on 8 October 2026.
The makeup and cosmetic brands on Pakistani shop shelves come in two groups: local brands made or sold by Pakistani companies, and international brands from Germany, France, Turkey and the US. There are also budget imports whose makers don’t say where they are based. Some brand names sound foreign. Rivaj UK and Medora of London are both Pakistani companies, and Emelie is a Pakistani brand with products made in China. Kryolan, often taken for a local brand, is German.
This guide lists who makes each brand, what it sells, what it costs, and what each brand says about halal and cruelty-free. We sell some of these brands at HGS Cosmetics, and we say so where we do. The rest are here because people ask about them.

Halal, vegan and cruelty-free makeup brands in Pakistan
Brands make two different kinds of claim. Some appear in PETA’s cruelty-free database, which checks companies against its own standard. Others describe themselves as halal, vegan or cruelty-free on their packs and websites, and you have to take their word for it or ask to see the certificate.
- Listed by PETA as cruelty-free: Luscious, Masarrat Misbah, Kryolan and Golden Rose.
- Listed by PETA as testing on animals: Maybelline and L’Oréal Paris.
- Brands that call themselves halal: Masarrat Misbah, Conatural and Luscious, plus some Zay Beauty products and the WB by Hemani Herbal Infused Beauty range.
- Brands that call themselves vegan: Luscious, Conatural’s makeup line, Emelie, the WB by Hemani makeup range, and some Masarrat Misbah and Zay Beauty products.
If halal matters to you, check the pack for the name and logo of the body that certified it.
How to tell if makeup is genuine
- Buy from the brand’s own store or a shop that has stocked the brand for a long time.
- Check the price against the brand’s own store. A foundation selling far below the brand’s own sale price may be fake or old stock.
- Look for a batch number and an expiry or manufacturing date printed on the pack itself.
- Check the seal and the smell when it arrives. A sour or oily smell, or a texture that has split, means the product has gone bad.
If you order from HGS and something arrives damaged or looks wrong, message us before you use it.
